Typically our day retreat will begin at 10.30am with toning tonics and energising juices, followed by morning poolside yoga with our devoted yoga teacher overlooking the spectacular Costa de la Luz, a gourmet vegan brunch lovingly prepared by our private chef, a pedicure or head massage while you are served infused waters by the pool in the afternoon, specialist juices throughout the day, beach yoga & meditation in the evening and a delicious detoxifying dinner served at around 9pm.


Make a night of it!  You also have the option of bed and breakfast at the Las Dunas villa from just €60 extra per person.  Awake to a hearty nutritious breakfast, take a dip in the pool then be chauffeured home, feeling totally refreshed and energised.


Don't fancy the drive? Our chauffer can collect you from anywhere between Malaga & Seville from just €20 per person each way.

What should you bring?

Packing lightly can help relieve travel stress and set you up for a relaxing retreat. In this spirit, if you'd prefer to travel light, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the laundry room at the villa for our guests to use.


We also provide some basic toiletries such as body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.


Aside from your daily essentials, it would be a good idea to pack:

The physical practice of Hatha Yoga includes breath work and meditation and helps you to reconnect again with yourself, so that the energy can flow freely. It is a powerful tool for self transformation as it eases physical and mental obstacles.


The main principle behind the practice of Hatha Yoga is breathing.  Controlling our breath can help improve oxygenation in the body and reduces stress levels. Therefore, this practice encourages us to focus on our breath, maintain steady balance and promotes stillness in mind.


The main goal is striking a balance between body and mind, therefore achieving a higher mental state by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

Good nutrition is vital to our existence, our health and our well-being. We have known this for thousands of years and yet it is still incredibly difficult to strike a balance between need and desire. Upbringing, culture, advertising, education, time, money, motivation, genetics, psychology, conditioning, supermarkets and media all play a part in what and how much we eat. 


At The Sunshine Retreat we will help you regain your internal balance.  Gently detoxing your body using a proven plant based organic diet.  We do not use supplements or powders in our detoxification program.  We use whole plant based organic foods, gentle exercise, yoga and massage to rid your body of stored toxins.  


Our program will teach you life lessons that can be easily integrated into your daily life once you are home.  


Taking time out to detox will help your mind and bodies re-set.

During your retreat Natalia will perform a ‘Spiritual Healing Massage’ on you.  This is the best massage technique to apply to those seeking change and enlightenment.  Supportive of life's journey, spiritual massage therapy does not just feel good it plays an essential role in the process of self-healing and empowerment.  She will connect with your individual spiritual guides who will inform her of which healing technique you require.

Chiro Massage

Chiro- massage is a term created by a Spanish doctor Vicente Lino Ferrándiz Garcia in 1920 in Barcelona. The original name in Spanish is quiro-masaje: From Latin prefix chiro-, from Ancient Greek χείρ (kheír, “hand”) where only hands are used in massage.   


The Chiro - massage is a group of movements made with the hands in contact of the patient's body, these movements that are of several types include a range of: 


Kneading, percussions, frictions, veined castings, claps, pinches, pumping, vertebral shakes, touch, rotations, muscular stretching, and mobilizations.   


The intensity with which these movements are applied are determined by the massage type that will be made. Soft movements are for relaxation or sensitive chiromassage and intense movements are for sportive chiro - massage, adapted for muscular contractures and small muscular problems. Chiro - massage offers the ideal non-invasive treatment solution for a wide range of conditions; including:


• Scoliosis Shoulder problems

• Lower back pain

• Carpal tunnel syndrome

• Foot pain    

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage incorporates a variety of advanced modalities that enhance the body’s natural restorative functioning. Light to firm touch is used to release tension, relax muscles, increase blood and lymph circulation, and impart a sense of calm. 


Therapeutic massage can be used as a collaborative, supportive addition to conventional medical treatment of illness and injury, alleviating pain and stress, aiding soft tissue healing, and revitalizing the body.

Sophia

 Sophia is a yoga teacher and a professional systemical therapist working with individuals, families, couples, children and young people.


She started her career in Munich, Germany where she worked as a family therapist for nine years. She then progressed to Yoga teachings and since 2012 she has been teaching yoga around the world.


In 2015 Sophia moved to Spain to realize her dream of living by the ocean and combining her yoga and therapist experience in her holistic approach to work and life.


Her positive energy and open-mindedness mean she connects very quickly with people.Sophia’s experience gives her the knowledge and experience to help you to find your very personal way of life and to be able to go your way without being afraid, just by trusting in yourself, so that you are able to face life and live your dream, your way.

Jordanna

  Our resident chef and nutritionist began her foodie journey by starting a small catering company in London in 2006, progressing to restaurants in 2012. She now lives in Spain and runs a Vegan delivery company.      


Jordanna has studied food and the effects of what and how we eat for many years. More recently focusing fully on plant based, organic diets and the many health benefits that they provide.  

 Research has shown that a more plant-based diet may help prevent, treat, or reverse some of our leading causes of death. Plant-based eating can improve not only body weight, blood sugar levels, and ability to control cholesterol, but also emotional states, including depression, anxiety, fatigue, sense of well-being, and daily functioning.  

 Jordanna will create all of your plant based meals and juices using organic, locally sourced produce whist here at the retreat and also show you how to create easy delicious plant based meals that you and all the family will enjoy once you are home.

  Our expert massage therapist Natalia has studied many different types of massage and has a wide range of experience using both traditional and alternative methods, working with clients in both medical centres and therapy units.   


She is a professional massage therapist, specializing in therapeutic chiro, neuromuscular and healing practices.   


Before Your Spiritual Healing Massage Natalia will invite your spirit guides and  angles to be present and to direct the unfolding of your healing journey. She will then blend the more subtle healing energies of the angels with a relaxing Swedish massage to ease you back into alignment while supporting greater self awareness and personal energy transformation.
